I am only a
sinner saved by God’s SUPER ABOUNDING GRACE. In a small town in western
Kansas I was born in a family of ten children. I was next to the youngest.
Our family always went to church.
When I was five years old the Lord brought me through a very serious operation.
The doctor confessed to my mother that it was her prayers that kept me alive.
The Lord had His hand upon me during my High School Years, when it is so
easy for a young person to follow the crowd. At that time the High School
had a Hi Y Club. It was a Christian club that had great influence in my
life. I lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota during my grade and high school
years.In
1936 I bought my first bakery in Cambridge, Wisconsin. An outstanding event
in my Christian life happened one night when I went to a “Grace Gospel
Fellowship” conference at Lake Riply Cambridge, Wisconsin, and heard
pastors J.C. O’Hair and Charles Baker. Through their preaching and
teaching the Holy Spirit opened my eyes to the scriptures so I could understand
God’s wonderful plan of salvation.
